Mrs Terry was preceded in death by three husbands: Leslie Ray Davies, Sr., Cecil M. "Sonny" Brooks, and Sidney H. Terry. She is survived by three sons: Jackie D. Davies (Jimmie) of Winnfield, Leslie Ray Davies, Jr., of Alaska, and Gregg Davies (Linda) of Winnfield; seven grandchildren: Dean Davies (Lisa) of Houma, Todd Davies (Jessica) of Houston, TX, Kyleigh Davies of Belle Chasse, Leslie Ray Davies III, of Virginia, Sarah Berry of Washington, Stephanie Dobson of Picayune, MS, and Jennifer Davies of Winnfield, and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Terry was born April 19, 1928 at Logansport, LA to Joseph Elias Monsour and Jennie Idell Cox, the second of six children. Also surviving are sisters Maxine Binning of Mansfield and Ann David of Livingston, TX; brothers Billy Monsour of Logansport, Paul Monsour of Columbus, OH, and Alex Monsour, Sr. of Tallulah, and her Aunt, Viator McClure of Logansport.
Mrs. Terry was known for her cooking, especially Syrian cuisine, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Winnfield and Palestine Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Winnfield.
For many years she was employed at West Department Store and Margie's Dress Shoppe.
Friends may call at First United Methodist Church, Winnfield on Tuesday, October12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Winnfield, on Wednesday, October 13, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.
Pallbearers will be Dean Davies, Todd Davies, John Dobson, Jr., Russell Busby, Alex Monsour, Jr., and Steven David.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and friends of the family.
The family requests that memorials be made to Dugdemona High Twelve (Masonic) Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 140, Calvin, LA 71410.
