"Bailey" Wilkie was a highly skilled carpenter and joiner. He built a number of commercial buildings in the Fayetteville, NC area including the YMCA and a hospital.
January 19, 1908 he married Mary Etta Murdoch in Moore County, NC. Although he continued to work primarily in the Fayetteville area, he built a house in Gulf, NC where he and Etta lived until their deaths.
Their Children: Clarence Elbert (Dec. 7, 1908), Blanche Isabell (July 27, 1910), Gordon Wilbert (Jan. 11, 1913), Earl Murdoch (Oct. 15, 1916)
