From the Rutland Daily Herald, Oct. 3, 1921:
Proctor - George W. Brush, aged 80 years, died at his home here yesterday following an illness of some time with a complication of diseases. He was born at Cambridge, September 19, 1841, and was the son of Solomon and Sophia Brush well known early settlers in that town. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. D.C. Gale of Proctor, Mrs. C.N. Field of New York and Mrs. H.L. Hunting of Malden, Mass., a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellinwood of Cambridge, and two brothers, R. Brush of Stowe and Ira Brush of Toledo, O. Funeral services will be held [word missing?] afternoon at 3 o'clock at his late home. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
