Esther Lois Manion,
age 89, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (October 13, 2010) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on June 2, 1921, in Higdon, KY, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mayme Witten Skaggs. She was retired from the sewing factory, a homemaker and was a member of the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Whobrey (Danny) of Leitchfield, one brother, John Paul Skaggs of Louisville, five grandchildren, Christy Schultz, Jessica and Daniel Whobrey and Reena Decker all of Leitchfield and Tabitha Harper of Campbellsville, KY and ten great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charlie Manion, two sons, Steven and Marcus Manion, three sisters and two brothers, Edna Bess, Christine Watts, Wilma Haycraft and Robert and Arnold Skaggs.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (October 16, 2010) at the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
