John B. Panchot, 76, prominent Big Sandy farmer, died Thursday morning at his home six miles west of Big Sandy.
Panchot had lived around Big Sandy a number of years and was a well known man in that community.
The funeral services will be held in Big Sandy in the Methodist church.

John B. Panchot
John B. Panchot was born in Buffalo, New York in 1850. His father's name was George Panchot and his mother Catherine Jenen. In Minnesota he met and married Salina Spencer in the year 1873. To this union were born nine children, of whom seven are now living. J. W. Panchot of Moorehead, Minn., Mrs. John Bursack and A. E. Panchot of Northome, Minn., Mrs. F. J. Becker of Portland, Ore., Mrs. L. S. Bliss of Valier, Mont., and D. A. Panchot and Mrs. Arthur I. Tucker of Big Sandy; together with scores of grandchildren.
Mr. Panchot was a very active man and his death, though coming at the ripe age of 76, was very sudden and unexpected. He had been a farmer in this vicinity for the past fifteen years and will be sorely missed by the family and the many who called him friend.
