Elva Jean Pasma
LEWISTOWN - Elva Jean (Newman) Pasma, 64, died of natural causes Monday at her home. Although a specific cause of death has not yet been determined, she had been ill for several years with heart problems and hypertention, her family said. Her funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Beal Funeral Home Chapel in Forsyth, with burial in Forsyth Cemetery. Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Elva J. Pasma Memorial or the Montana Chapter of the American Diebetes Association. She was born 29 Aug., 1932, in Forsyth, where she was raised. In 1957 she married Earl Pasma in Great Falls. They lived in various area throughout Montana, including Glendive. In 1989 he retired and they moved to Lewistown. She enjoyed writing.
Survivors include her husband of Lewistown; four sons, John Pasma of Helena, Ron Pasma of Kennewick, Wash., Tom Pasma of Bow, Wash., and Bob Pasma of Fort Shaw; two daughters, Penny Mumper of Missoula and patty Romo of Saco; five brothers, Adrien Newman of Ballantine, Bruce Newman of Florida, Darryl Newman of Hysham, Byron Newman of Forsyth and Willard Newman of Anaconda; two sisters, Shirley Warren of Hysham and Lue Shield of Dillon; and 12 grandchildren.
