Lydia Jane Hall, b 24 Sept. 1840 in Mercer Co, IL near New Boston d. 16 Dec 1936. Her father was Joel A. Hall who died in 1847 near Starved Rock, IL in an Indian massacre. Also killed in the attack were his three oldest children, John b. 1836, Phebe b.1838 and Joel b. 1844.Lydia and her mother survived. Lydia's mother was born Elizabeth A. Martine b. 31 Jan 1818 Orange County, New York, USA d. 6 Aug 1887 (aged 69)
