Daniel M. Speicher, aged 77 years, died of cancer of the stomach at his home, 1849 River road, at 11 o'clock this morning. He had been ailing 17 weeks and was bedfast two weeks.

Deceased was born at Bernville and resided in this city 34 years. He was employed for 16 years as a laborer at the Carpenter Steel Works. Besides his widow, Elizabeth (nee Ritz), the following children survive: William, at home; Candace, wife of Lawrence Moyer, West Reading; Sallie, wife of Ellsworth Swavely, Riverside; Agnes, wife of Frank Becker, Brush Valley.

Deceased was a member of Epler's Lutheran Church.
