BEAVER DAM RITE SET FOR FRED KUENZI

Fred W. Kuenzi, 84, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Saturday at Clearview Hospital, Juneau.

He was born April 30, 1864, in the Town of Emmet, Dodge County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Kuenzi. He married Alvina Capelle of Kekoskee on Oct. 23, 1907.

Mr. Kuenzi was a farmer in his early life and went to Beaver Dam in 1936. He was a mason tender with the C. A. Stockweather and Son Lumber Co. for many years. He later worked for his sons, who are masons, until his retirement.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Marlin and Fred of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Heim of Lowell; Mrs. Lester Gossfeld of rural Burnett and Mrs. Raymond Kolitz of Beaver Dam; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Also surviving are one brother, Benjamin Kuenzi of Waupun, and three sisters, Miss Ella Kuenzi of Waupun, Mrs. Mathilda Uhlman of West LaFayette, Ind. And Mrs. Clara Bloedel of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rudy of Salem Ore., who died early in March of this year; one great-grandchild; four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Briese Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, with the Rev. John Mason officiating. Burial will be in Kekoskee Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
