Sergeant Robbins was a left gunner aboard U.S. Army Air Corps B-29A-5-BN Superfortress #42-93876. After receiving anti aircraft fire damage while on bombardment mission to Ota, Japan, the crew of eleven were Killed In Action/MIA when the bomber ditched in the Pacific Ocean approximately 80 nautical miles east Tokyo. With the 500th Bomb Group, 881st Bomb Squadron.
