Trena, 60, of rural Harrison passed away at her home on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Trena was the daughter of James and Carolyn (Eberle) Elcar.
Trena was united in marriage to Mr. Frederick Charles Imus Jr. on August 15, 1982 in Waterford, Michigan. Trena and Fred moved to Harrison on September 13, 1987, coming from Waterford. On April 2, 1998, Mr. Imus preceded Trena in death after sixteen years of marriage.
Trena retired in 2006 from Tendercare of Clare as a Registered Nurse. Trena held a great love and passion for helping people through her love of medicine and compassion towards others. Trena enjoyed sewing, knitting, various crafting, reading medical books, watching the Lifetime channel on television and cooking meals for her family and friends.
Surviving Mrs. Imus are her three sons; Christian J. Patterson of Waterford, Fred C. Imus of Pinckney, Michigan and Sheldon E.J. Imus of Rapid City, Michigan, four grand children; Cassandra Nichols, Garrett St. Bernard, James Patterson and Shea Patterson, one great-grandson, Kaidence Nichols, two sisters; Theresa Hanchett of Marion, Michigan and Lucinda Sevenski and husband Todd of Kingsley, Michigan, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and her cat, Annabelle. Mrs. Imus also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Pamela L. Bentley and one brother, James C. Elcar.
Funeral services honoring Mrs. Imus were held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with her family members officiating. Inturnment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Howell, Michigan.
