John Berry age 69 Mar 22 1855. served 116th Regt. commanded by Col Koontz was drafted at Rockingham Co Jun 15 1813 for about 6 mos discharged at Norfolk on Dec 15 1813. received 80 acres on Sept 28 1850. notice of discharge: John Berry a soldier from Rockingham Co, now at Norfolk, in the 4th regt... having completed six months service is ... discharged Jan 10 1814.
