Anne retired from the Mercyhurst College bookstore. She previously worked as a sales clerk for W.T. Grant Department Store. She graduated from Academy High School in 1932 and was chosen class speaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed the arts, especially painting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hathaway; two sisters, Susan Sherrange and Mary Plavcan; and six brothers, Peter, George, Joseph, Michael, Stephen and John Plavcan.
Survivors include three sons, William J. Hathaway and his wife, Kathy, of Erie, Joseph M. Hathaway and his wife, Nancy, of Valdosta, Ga., and Thomas Hathaway and his wife, Anne, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Kathryn Barbara Skarupski and her husband, Timothy, and Ann Marie Oros and her husband, Timothy, all of Erie; a sister, Elizabeth Weber of Erie; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
