Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine W. Harrington will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakdale with Father Jose Vattakunnel officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Harrington, 92, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in Prompt Succor Nursing Home, Opelousas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmo L. Patureau; her second husband, J. C. Harrington; two brothers, Milton Wilkinson and Byron Wilkinson and one sister, Thelma Boone. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include six sons, Kent Patureau and his wife, Marie of Oakdale, Elmo Patureau and his wife, Lora of Baton Rouge, Gerald Patureau and his wife, Vickey of Hampshire, Texas, Michael Patureau and his wife, Donna of Morgan City, Craig Harrington and his wife, Linda of Houston, Texas and Gerald Harrington and his wife, Elaine of Oakdale; seventeen grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until departure for church for services at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
