Mrs. Louie Edna Norris
Mrs. Lou Norris, who suffered a heart attack December 2 and was taken to Johnson County hospital at Tecumseh, Nebr., died there Thursday, December 8, 1966 at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Louie Edna, daughter of Henry Boone and Nancy Jane Tucker Boone, was born July 23, 1886 in Manchester, Ohio.
On Dec. 1, 1903 she was married to Fred Nelson Kress, and to that union five children were born. Later she was married to Frank Norris.
Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, Nelson; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are three daughters and one son: Mrs. Thelma Burke, Lincoln; Mrs. Goldie Diggs, Blaine, Wash., Mrs. Lena Bray and Raymond Kress, Sterling. There are also grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Norris was a member of the Sterling Methodist church for many years and was active in the church as long as her health permitted. She was a kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend, and had a host of friends in the community.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Zink Mortuary, with the Rev. Woodrow Elliott officiating. Burial was in the Sterling cemetery.
Among relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Goldie Diggs, Blaine, Wash., Mrs. Thelma Burke, Judi Kress of Lincoln.
