Frank William Blackbourn, 502 Meadowview Drive, Starkville, MS, died there Saturday, 12 Sep 1981.

Services were held Tuesday, 15 Sep at First United Methodist Church in Blossom. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Burial was in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom.

Mr. Blackbourn was born 19 Apr 1895 in Blossom, a son of Frank W. Blackbourn and Emma Garmany Blackbourn. He married Miss Velma Maddux on 24 Oct 1916.

The couple had lived in Blossom until a year ago when they moved to Starkville to be with their son. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Maddux Blackbourn of Starkville, MS; two sons, Frank William Blackbourn Jr. of Monroe, LA, and Dr. Joe Maddux Blackbourn Sr. of Starkville, MS; 3 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
