MRS. R. W. BEDFORD
Anna Bedford, daughter of Susan and Thomas Aitken, was born in What Cheer, Iowa, Sept. 24, 1884, and passed away at her home Oct. 16, 1958, at the age of 74 years and 22 days.
She was married to R. W. Bedford on Dec. 24, 1903, in White City, Iowa, and had lived in Chariton for the past 35 years.
She is survived by her husband and daughter, Alberta, a sister, Mrs. W. W. Bell of Saginaw, Mich., and three brothers, Elmer Aitken of Albia, Thomas Aitken of Knoxville and William Aitken of Rock Island, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. A. E. Lewis.
Mrs. Bedford was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Chariton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Miley Chapel with the Rev. John Orange officiating. Interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
