He was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Urbana, Il. to the late Albert and Jennie Belle Roberts Corson. On Feb. 14, 1943, he married Freda C. Tash in Rantoul, Il. She survives.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Roger D. Corson (wife: Juanita) of Monticello; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Watson (husband: Dale) of Winneconne, Wisconsin and Rodney Corson (wife: Doralynn) of Mohomet, Il.; 4 great-grandchildren, Baylee Watson, Logan Watson, Shauna Corson and Rachael Corson and 2 great-great-grandchildren, AnShaun White and Taylor White.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and 3 sisters, LuSetta Roney, Margaret Roberts and Alberta Corson.
