MONTEREY - Funeral services for Katherine Bilbrey, 86, of
Monterey will be held tomorrow, October 17, at 2 p.m. in Love Joy
Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Copeland Cemetery.
Mrs. Bilbrey died Monday (October 15, 1990) in Standing Stone
Health Care Center.
Born January 3, 1908 in Monterey, she was the daughter of the late Kernel 'and
Lizzie Jane Blaylock Murphy.
Mrs. Bilbrey was a homemaker and a member of Love Joy Missionary Baptist Church.
Her family includes two daughters, Betty Jane Padgett and Joanna
Pierce, both of Monterey; four sons, M.J. Bilbrey of Crawford, J.D., Lonzo and
Fronzo Bilbrey, all of Monterey; one half-sister, Auda Padgett of Monterey; 29
grandchildren and 27 great-gandchildren.
Mrs. Bilbrey was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Bilbrey; one daughter,
Neoma Guffey, and two sons, J.B. and J.C. Bilbrey.
The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home after 4 p.m.
today.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Rev. Clayton Padgett and Rev. Arnold Murphy will officiate at the
services.
