BARNARD -- Mrs. Minnie D. Myers, 87, longtime resident of Barnard, died Friday morning in a Liberal hospital following a week's illness.
She was born April 13, 1875, at North Liberty, Ia. She became a resident of Barnard in 1909 and had lived there ever since. She was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Mary V. Hawkins, in Liberal when she became ill.
She was a member of the Barnard Methodist Church. Her husband, Chester, died in 1949.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Hawkins are three other daughters, Mrs. Hazel B. Bro and Mrs. Leora E. Webb, both of Barnard, and Mrs. Pearl W. Keating, Colony, Kans.; two sons, Oral L. and Harley I., both of Barnard; a brother Walter L. Bridenstine of Iowa City, Ia., and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 pm Monday at the Barnard Methodist Church, the Rev. Lloyd Swindler officiating. Burial will be in Elkhorn cemetery southeast of Barnard.
Friends may call from noon Sunday until noon Monday at the Hall Mortuary, Lincoln.
