BORN NEAR HORACE
Allen Ashley, 43 years old, residing about seven miles north of Paris, died at 1:45 o'clock this morning at St. Elizabeth's hosptial, Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for four weeks. He had been in declining health for the past year.
Mr. Ashley was born near Horace, Ill., on January 14, 1894, where he had spent his entire life. He was the son of Willis and Minnie Henson Ashley.
Surviving are his father, resident of Paris; four daughters; Minnie Ellen, Opal Jean, Faye and Norma, all at home; three sisters and three brothers, as follows: Mrs. Nettie Downs; Ellis and Lawrence Ashley, all of Paris; Everett Ashley of Logan, Ill., Mrs. Bertha Richards of Russell Springs, KY.; and Mrs. Ruth Richards of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held at the Cook & Wright funeral home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon and burial will be at Franklin cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home.
