Clara Juanita Anderson, 81, formerly of Panhandle died on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Whitney, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Panhandle Cemetery with Joe Zimmerman, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 208 Main St. in Panhandle.

Juanita was born on November 3, 1928 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to a farming family. She graduated from Ninnekaw High School and married Robert Martin Anderson on November 22, 1948 in Panhandle, Texas. They raised their family living in Panhandle, Tx, Bartlesville, Ok, and returning to Panhandle to farm for approx thirty years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Panhandle for over thirty years and was most recently a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and the Rebekah Lodge. Juanita was a homemaker most of her life and was a rural mail carrier in Panhandle & White Deere retiring in 1993. She loved singing and playing piano – particularly gospel music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ottie Eakes, her husband, Robert Martin Anderson in 2002, her son, Steven D. Anderson in 1988, her daughter, Kathryn J. Caylor in 1999, her grandson, Christopher Caylor in 1980 and eight brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Robbie Anderson and wife Brenda of Hillsboro, TX; a daughter-in-law, Linda Anderson Weyman of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren, Bryan Anderson and wife Penny of Sealy, TX, Jennifer Curtiss and husband David of Austin, TX, Andrea Anderson, Lindsay Anderson, Amanda Caylor and Eric Caylor, all of Ft. Worth, TX; five great grandchildren; a nephew, Dean Eakes of Panhandle, TX; three nieces, Mary Francis Nordon of Littleton, CO, Margie Williams of Chickasha, OK and Phoebe Cole of Owasso, OK.

Family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 701 Main St. , Panhandle, TX 79068, or to a favorite charity.

Viewing will be from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with a family visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle.
