A son of Edward and Etta (Livingston) Heister. He was united in marriage with Alberta [Alverda] Ruth Dickinson on Oct. 29, 1923, in Saxton.
He was survived by his wife, five daughters: Mrs. Galen (Helen) Rinard of Saxton RD; Mrs. Alex (Dorothy) Wydenowski of Paulsboro, NJ; Mrs. John (Virginia) Auger of Franklinville, NJ; Mrs. Robert (Betty Lou) Steele of Hopewell; and Mrs. Kay (Wanda) Castle of Lima, Ohio; also fifteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; also four brothers and three sisters: Samuel Heister of New Jersey; Reba Cook of Bedford; Earl Heister of Lewistown; James Heister and Beulah Guyton, both of Riddlesburg; Mildred Scritchfield of Michigan; and Milton Heister of Indiana.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
He had been employed by PennDOT.
Interment was made in the Reformed Cemetery, Yellow Creek.
