Private 27972 Sidney Charles Thomas, 7th Battalion Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry was a casualty of WW1. He was the son of Alexander Thomas and Emily Thomas nee Semmens, and the husband of Beatrice Emma Thomas nee Peters (latterly Brenton). Sidney was laid to rest at Falmouth Cemetery aged 30.

Sidney was entitled to be awarded British WW1 medals and following the Great War his family would have been sent the Memorial Death Plaque of WW1. He is commemorated in perpetuity by Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
