Records 15:97}], and settled at Wescogus {Addison} [PR 1778-1784, ADD 1790, 1800-10 w/son Richard]; in 1800 he sold settler's lot #26 at Addison to Kinsman Corthell for $200 [Washington Co Deed 2:453].

"Mrs Mary Merit born March y 21st 1727 in the town of Kittery state of (?)Massachusetts. Memento Mortis: Here lies buried the body of Mrs. Mary Merit Wife of Daniel Merit Esq. Who died July y 15th 1795 in her 69th year."
