Mrs. Laurana t. Varner died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Oliver, of Baxter Springs, Kans., last Wednesday after an illness of only a few days. She was 73 years old and had been a resident of Granby for over fifty years. She has lived with her daughter since the death of her husband, J. B. Varner, who died a few years ago. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Friday at 2 o'clock by Rev. Campbell. She leaves seven daughters and four sons.

She is survived by 7 daughter, 3 step-daughters, 4 sons, & 1 step-son: Ella Paul, Dosha Bumgartner, Laura Morey, Celia Zehr, Ola Stussy, Ada Woodcock, Mary Oliver, Rena Chester, Alice Stinson, Maggie Parker,
Walter, Henry, Raymond, Arlington, & James Varner.

Sister of Margaret Wells.

Lauranna & Baxter had lived in Granby, Missouri for 50 years.
Lauranna was a member of the Granby Baptist Church.
She was sick only a few days, but bore her suffering without a murmur.
She died Wednesday at the home of her daughter Mary Oliver.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 13th 1926 at the Granby Christian Church but Lauranna's pastor officiated, Pastor Campbell of the Baptist Church.

J.B. Varner and Tennessee Cornelison were married 14 June 1874 in Barry County, Missouri
Mrs. Laurana t. Varner died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Oliver, of Baxter Springs, Kans., last Wednesday after an illness of only a few days.
