Here is some information from the obituary for George Collins, Jr. who is buried in Horseshoe Cemetery.

Parents: George Martin and Queen Victoria (Caldwell) Collins.
Born: June 15, 1924. (doesn't say where)
Raised and educated in Glendo graduating from High School in 1942.

He enlisted in the Naval Aviation School and entered the Army Air Corp in August, 1943. He was stationed in England during World War II. He flew 35 missions as a tail gunner in a B-17.

After the service he returned to Glendo and worked on various ranches. He and Ruth Ann Carr were married Aug. 28, 1953. They lived in Glenrock for several years before returning to Glendo where he lived until his death. He worked on the construction of Glendo Dam until its completion. He then ran his own construction company for a number of years. He then worked for the school as a bus driver and custodian for more than 20 years before retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann of Glendo; sons Casey of Casper, Kenny of Wheatland and Woody of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Roebuck Collins of Glendo; sisters Virginia Jenkins of Ventura, Calif., and Una Ann Ryff of Sacramento, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ross, Charlie, Fay, Bill, Henry, J. B., and Woodrow; sister Margaret; and daughter Cathy in 1964.
