It's not often you find a mausoleum built by the occupant, but this architectural wonder is the work of Calvin C. Phillips. While he was building it, he was known to have napped in there as well. An architect of some prominence, he designed structures for the Paris Expo in 1877 and has local fame in Tallahassee for his design and building of the Old Clock Tower in the All Saints Neighborhood.
