O.J. "RED" Johnson 1918 ~ 2006
Orlano Joseph Johnson, 88, "O.J." or "RED" died September 9, 2006 in Midvale, Utah. He was born February 21, 1918 in Wendell, Minnesota to Joseph and Elma Johnson. O.J. married his wife, Kay (Kathryn Karaglanis), in 1940 and together they operated "Kay & Red's" Cafe‚ for over 30 years. O.J. served as Worshipful Master of the Masonic Argenta Lodge #3, and Worthy Patron of Radiant Chapter #12, order of the Eastern Star. He was a Shriner in the El Kalah temple and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
O.J. is preceded in death by his wife and youngest son. He is survived by his son, Orlano K. (Karen) Johnson; his daughter, Jo Elaine J. (Anthony) Hearn; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Funeral directors, Evans & Early.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
