Minnie Nora Medley Turner, 85, of 125 Hilton Avenue, Dry Fork, Virginia died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial in Roanoke, Virginia.
Born April 2, 1925, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Junious Albert Medley and the late Bertha Fitzgerald Medley. She was married to the late Preston Turner.

Survivors include four daughters, Rosa Robinson, Bessie Burrell (Robert) and Darlene Cousins all of Danville, Virginia and Effria Turner of Washington, DC; three sons, Alonza Turner (Faye) of Chatham, Virginia, Eddie Lee Turner (Annie Mae) of Danville, Virginia and David Turner of Richmond, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Medley (Wyanita) of Java, Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nicole Burgess, one sister, Regolia Fitzgerald and two brothers, John Medley and Sam Medley.

The family will receive friends at the residence.

Funeral services will be conduced on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 12 Noon at White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Edward L. Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
