Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully at ninety-two years old on October 9, 2010 surrounded with love by members of her family.

Born August 16, 1918 in Duchesne, Utah to Floyd Young and Effie Luella Case Young. She was the oldest of ten children.

She attended Duchesne High School, and was working for the telephone company when she met her sweetheart Joseph Maxwell Young at a CC Camp dance. They were married November 11, 1935 in Duchesne, Utah. They lived in Salt Lake and then Murray, where they worked hard together raising their family until Max passed away in 1970. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple.

She worked for many years at the China Tea Garden, Litton Industries, and lastly at the Church Office Building processing microfiche, where she enjoyed the privilege of working at the Granite Mountain Records Vault for the LDS Church. She made many lifelong friends at each place she worked.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she enjoyed the many positions that she held, especially working with the young women and her time spent as compassionate service leader.

She worked hard most of her life up until the time she retired in 1985 to live in St. George, where she married Duane "Duke" White, who later passed away in 1989. She spent her last years living in La Verkin, Utah where she was surrounded by, and enjoyed spending time with, many of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mom was a beautiful example of showing compassion, loving others and working hard. In return, she was loved by many of her friends and neighbors. She adored her family, including her brothers and sisters, and loved all of her children and grandchildren unceasingly.

She is survived by her children Bonnie Kaye (Ed) Heining, Brent (Barbara) Young, Steve (Judy) Young, and Randy Young, eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Also her two brothers Kenneth (Carole) Young, Gaylord (Ida) Young and one sister June Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sweet husband Max, and their daughter Nina Dee, who died in infancy. Two grandchildren that died in infancy. Brothers and sisters Ralph Young, Velma Posey, Lois Daley, Ida Ray Mattheson, Enna Jo Barclay and Madge Hodge. We know they were all waiting for her with open arms to welcome her back to our Heavenly Father.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville, Utah. There will be a viewing held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on that same day.
Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
