Nilah Bartlett
Nilah Bartlett,89,formerly of 105 W. Cliff St.,Chippewa Falls,died Friday,June 20,2003 at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation,town of Eagle Point. After the death of her husband in 1944 she lived in California from 1946 to 1973 when she moved back to Chippewa Falls.
She was born November 27,1913 in Chippewa Falls,the daughter of Peter and Mary (Barry) Brick. She married Glen McNamara in 1935 and Jack Bartlett in 1960 both of whom preceded her in death. She worked at Samuelson’s Department Store in Eau Claire for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
She is survived by one sister,Dorothy McNamara of Chippewa Falls; three step-grandchildren,Tom McNamara,Shelly Erdman and Letty Schwock; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; one step-son,Donald McNamara; her parents; two brothers,Warren and Dayton Brick; one sister,Jane Richards; one step-grandson,Donald McNamara,Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday,June 24,2003 at Holy Ghost Church,Chippewa Falls. Rev. Edmund Doerre will be celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery,town of Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday,June 23,and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home,Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
