The Binghamton Press, Tuesday Evening July 12, 1921:

"FORMER OWEGO MAN DIES IN BINGHAMTON AT AGE OF 80 YEARS:
Owego, July 12 - John Fenderson of Binghamton, and a former prominent Owego man, died in that city Monday morning at the age of 80 years. He was the son of John and Lucy (Clemens) Fenderson (typo- should be Clements). He was a lumber dealer and had large holdings in Canada with his son. Since his health failed he had retired from activities, and a year or so ago moved to Binghamton. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, George Fenderson of Nichols, Charles L. Fenderson of Jacquett River, New Bruswick, and Harry G. Fenderson of Waverly, tow daughters, Mrs Floyd Anthony of Mariner's Harbor, Staten Island, and Mrs Harry Richardson of Hornell, and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Howell (typo - should be Housel) of Nichols and Mrs R.N.Perry of Canton, PA. The funeral will be held at the Emens chapel Thursday at 2 p.m.; interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. The Rev. Sidney Winter rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church will officiate."
