Vincent N. Couch, 76, of 206 Kline Road, Pennellville, died Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Minneapolis, Vince was a 1947 graduate of Jordan High School and he attended Syracuse University. For 28 years, he was an insurance agent with Mass Mutual before retiring in 1998.
Vince served with the US Marines during the Korean War and he fought in Chosin Reservoir battle. He was vice president of The Chosin Few-Northeast Chapter.
He was a member of the Caughdenoy United Methodist Church, Phoenix VFW Post, DAV, Marine Corps League of CNY, and Syr-Can Fishing Association.
Vince was predeceased by his brother James who died on June 17.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sandra Kuykendall; his son, Robert W. and wife, Marion of Frederick, MD; two sisters, Margaret McMurtry of Elbridge and Marian Cooper of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Eric, Cheryl, Danielle, Michael; and a great-granddaughter,Alexis.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Caughdenoy United Methodist Church. Spring burial with military honors will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bush Funeral Home, 15 N. Main St., Jordan.
