Mrs. Anna C. Verhage, 93, of R.1, Sheboygan Falls, died today at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 619 Huron Ave., Sheboygan.

She was born May 9, 1866 in Gelderland, Holland, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Garit Bessingpas. When she was 16 she came to the United States with her parents and settled at Spring Valley, Minn.

Two years later the family moved to Sheboygan where she married Lauris Verhage Sept. 26, 1890.

She later moved with her husband to a farm at R.2, Falls, and lived there until her husband died Dec. 24, 1947. She then lived with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Verhage at R. 1, Falls.

She was a member of the Sheboygan Falls Golden Age Club.

Besides her son, she is survived by six grandchildren; 19 great-granchildren, and one half-brother, John Bessingpas of Spring Valley, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Dean Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Charles Neu, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
