A graveside service for Shirley Glass of Dayton will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Buck Hollow Cemetery, Willamina, with Dane Eason officiating.

Ms. Glass died June 16, 2000, in Oakwood Country Place, McMinnville. She was 64.

She was born May 29, 1936, in Caldwell, Idaho, the daughter of Floyd and Leota Modrell Butts. She was raised and educated in Grand Ronde.

After marrying, she lived in various places in connection with her husband's military service. She later lived in Willamina until 1978, then moved to McMinnville.

Ms. Glass owned Pauline's Sportwear in McMinnville for eight years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Family members said she was a free spirit.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Richardson of Dayton, Lorie Hernandez of Whiteson and Kathy Arca of St. Louis; a sister, Sheryl Ault of Salem; a stepfather, Harold Perkins of Salem; her former husband, James Glass of McMinnville; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Butts and Larry Lee , her father, Floyd Andrew Butts, and her mother Leota Mae Modrell (Butts) Perkins.
