age 58 of Interior, South Dakota , died July 21, 2002, at his home in Interior.
Alan Lee Amiotte was born December 30, 1943, the son of Albert and Vera (Weaver) Amiotte. He was raised on a ranch south of Interior on Bear Creek. He received his first six years of education at Lone Tree School in former Washabaugh County and finished his education in Interior School, graduating in 1962.
After graduation he remained on the ranch with his parents.
He was united in marriage to Asta Garner on June 27, 1963 at Rapid City. After their marriage they purchased the Alex Amiotte ranch where they have since resided.
Alan's first love was horses. He was an accomplished horseman. He ranched and rodeoed extensively and passed on his love for both, to his children.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Asta Amiotte of Interior; three sons, Clint Amiotte and his wife Shari of Interior, Tucker Amoitte of Interior, and Kyle Amiotte and his wife Tricia of Black Hawk; a daughter Dondee Krolikowski and her husband Jeff of Interior; five grandchildren, Keely, Kray, and Krockett Krolikowski, Taylor Amiotte, and Bridger Amiotte; one brother, Norman Amiotte and his wife Jean of Interior; a sister Bonnie Renner of Spearfish; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson Kall James Krolikowski.
Funeral services were held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the Interior School Gym with Pastor Dave Morrison officiating.
Interment was 7:30 p.m. at the family cemetery on the ranch.
A memorial is established.
