Joseph H. Rupp, 86, of West Main Street, Shiremanstown, died Thursday afternoon in a hospital at Harrisburg after a short Illness. A member of Slate Hill Mennonite Church, he was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs, William Denehey, Philadelphia; Misa Elizabeth G. Rupp, Hershey; Mrs. W. E. Wister, Wyomissing; Mrs. J. G. Peters, New Brunswick V T and Mrs. .T S Miliar. Hanover; a son, Russel J. Rupp, Philadelphia; a sister. Miss Minnie A. Rupp; seven grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Slate Hill Mennonite Church, with Bishop William Strong officiating, and other ministers of the church assisting, Burial will be in the church .cemetery.
