She was the Daughter of Thomas Dugger Van Huss and Elvira Abigail Campbell. Both well known families in NE TN. Note the migration paths between NE TN & SE TN (Carter, Greene, Sullivan, Washington, Knox, Blount, Sevier, Meigs, McMinn, Roane Cos, TN). Also see ESTU's genealogy library for ORIGINAL documents of these families.
She was the mother of Delia B, Andrew Martin jr., Allie B, Cecil Clyde Curtis and perhaps other children.
She choose to be buried in Boones Creek Christian Church est. 1834 as opposed to her husband's and mother-in-law's burial site (Buffalo Ridge Cem est 1778) because 1. a church was no longer on the site and perhaps she attended this church & 2. the cemetery was not taken care of. She is actually buried in the same cemetery as her husbands' brother William M. Curtis & Sarah Pitts & others she knew and were related to. Her parents are buried separately in Johnson City area in the Miller & Monte Vista Cemeteries.

Note by other contributor Bill Myers:
Eliza married first to Jordan M. Croy on 21 Dec 1884 in Carter County, Tenn. Jordan M. Croy was born 3 Mar 1863 in Carter County, the son of Zachariah Jordan Croy and Delcena Elizabeth Cooper. Jordan M. Croy died sometime around 1895.
Anyhow, as far as I know, Jordan M. Croy’s grave is unmarked. According to FAG, his parents (# 102244458 and # 19426564) are buried in the Mottern Cemetery in Watauga, Tenn., so I suspect Jordan’s grave is there, too. The owner of Jordan and Eliza’s son Jordan Thomas Croy’s memorial (# 150072458) has provided a link to that of Eliza, or Elizabeth, Van Huss Curtis
