Mrs Lulabelle Spence 90, Wheatland Iowa, formerly of Rock Island, died yesterday afternoon at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home Wheatland Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday at the Hodgson Funeral Home Rock Island Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Rock Island Visitation will be from 8 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm tomorrow at the funeral home The former Lulabelle Pearson was born Feb 26 1888 in Joy the daughter of Calvin and Agnes Carpenter Pearson She was reared and educated in New Boston She was a resident of Mercer County has lived in Rock Island for 59 years before moving to Wheatland six years ago She was married to Robert C Spence Sept 1 1905 in New Boston He died in September 1926 Survivors include two daughters Mrs Betty Lingle Lowden Iowa and Mrs Audrey Foster Rock Island a son Carl D Spence Rock Island 11 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs Vivian Gritton Aledo She was preceded in death by a daughter a son a brother and three sisters
