ARTHUR RIDGEMAN WILLARD


ENTERPRISE –Arthur Ridgeman Willard, 77, died March 5, 1986, at his residence in Enterprise. He was born Oct. 9, 1908, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., to Frank and Edna Ridgeman Willard. He married Dorothea Louella Woodiwise on July 11, 1933, in Manila, Utah.


He was a chief electrician at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, for the duration of World War II. After the war he continued as an electrician and worked throughout the Western United States. He lived in Las Vegas, Nev., from 1967 to 1980, then retired and moved to Enterprise.



He was active in the LDS Church and held the office of High Priest and had served as a bishop. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.


He is survived by his wife of Enterprise; one son and three daughters; Gerald A. Willard of Elko, Nev., Nancy Vandergrit of Bountiful, Sharon B. Browsof Anchorage, Alaska; Janice Hawkins of Berley, Idaho; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Ruth Willard, and one brother, George Willard, preceded him in death.


Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 8 at 1 a.m. at the Enterprise City Cemetery under the direction of the Metcalf Mortuary.
