Departed October 12, 1831; was buried October 14 1831. Joseph Everett, a widower.
He was born November 1 1757. He was first married with the single Sarah nee Davis, who had 6 sons and 3 daughters of whom 3 sons and 1 daughter preceded him into Eternity. He had many grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who are still living. On October 15 1813 his wife died and some time later he married for a second time, the widow O Donnel, by whom he had a daughter. She also died. His children abandoned him and he became so lonesome and bitter and poor, that on October 12 he drowned, and was released from his despondency. Age 74 years, less 19 days.
