Bryan K. Swartwood officiating. Mrs. Dorothy Mumford, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and James Mumford was best man.

Word was received here late last Wednesday that Pfc. William Nichols, 25, had been wounded in fighting in Korea and is a patient in a base hospital in Tokyo. The message to his wife, former Carol McManigle of Brookville RD 4, was not specific, and a later letter said he had been shot in the shoulder and his condition is not critical. He is the son of William Nichols of RD 4, and was a reservist, called back to active service last November. He previously served ,ore than a year in the states. He landed in Japan last in December, 1950, and in Korea New Year's Day, 1951. He had been in the thick of the fighting for several months before being wounded.
