JAMES W. ALDER
Funeral services for James W. Alder, 85, husband of the former Linda Kunz of
Manitowoc, were at Wilmette, Ill. Friday afternoon. Mr. Alder died early
Thursday following a short illness. The body was shipped to Manitowoc where
graveside rites will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, the Rev. Myron Hoff of
St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, officiating. The Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Alder was born March 2?, 1873, in Columbus, Ohio.
He married the former Linda Kunz of Manitwoc in 1906.
Mr. Alder operated a building supply business in Columbus before moving to
Chicago in 1910, where he was associated with the American Sand and Gravel Co.
Survivors include his wife, a son, James of Wilmette; two daughters, Mrs. Walter
Mar(illegible) of Kennelworth, Ill., and Mrs. William A. Rotting of Cedar
Rapids, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
