Vernon R. "Tony" Albrecht, age 78, of 806B N. Jackson St., Milwaukee, died
Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at the Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis.

A service of comfort will be held for his family at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28,
2006, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc. Burial will
follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside services accorded by
Amvets Post 99 of Manitowoc.

Tony was born Oct. 20, 1927, in Manitowoc, son of the late Arthur and Mathilda
Nickels Albrecht. He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and was a graduate of
First German Evangelical Lutheran School in 1942 and was a 1946 graduate of
Manitowoc Lincoln High School.

Tony served in the United States Navy from Nov. 21, 1950, until Sept. 20, 1954.
He worked for the American Motors Company until their closure and then worked at
the Wood Veteran's Hospital in Milwaukee until his retirement.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, five nephews, and three nieces. Survivors include two sisters-in-law: Ruth Albrecht, Manitowoc; Lorraine Albrecht,
Manitowoc; five nephews: Daniel (Viv) Krumel, Pensacola, Fla.; Wayne Krumel,
Pensacola, Fla.; Gary (Joan) Krumel, Manitowoc; Dick (Maureen) Krumel, rural Two
Rivers; Robert Albrecht, Madison; three nieces: Lavange Wilda, Pensacola, Fla.;
Kathy Birr, Manitowoc; Sandy Jacobs, Hilbert.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Clarence, Arnold, Robert, Leslie,
Arthur; and one sister: Florence Krumel.

Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of
Manitowoc on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
