GIDDINGS–Funeral services for Lee Roy Wiederhold, 87, of Dime Box were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Dime Box with Rev. Susie Schnell officiating. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery Dime Box. He died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at his residence.
Mr. Wiederhold, a self employed farmer/rancher, was born May 18, 1915 in Deanville to Robert and Alma (Klagmann) Wiederhold. He and Evelyn Blaha were married Jan. 20, 1941.
Mr. Wiederhold, a World War II veteran, was a member of the Lutheran church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervin Wiederhold; sister, Viola Kissman; sister-in-law, Ruby Wiederhold; brother-in-law, Gerhard Kissman.
Surviving are: Wife, Evelyn Wiederhold of Dime Box; four sons, Robert "Billy" and Linda Wiederhold of Milano, Lee Roy Jr. and Arlene Wiederhold of Troy, Otto and Laura Wiederhold of Harker Heights and Henry "Hank" and Angela Wiederhold of Nacogdoches; two daughters, Barbara and Glenn Wenzel of Georgetown and Shirley Jean and Barry Carter of Austin; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Albert and Milady Wiederhold of Caldwell, Edgar Wiederhold of Giddings, Wilburn Wiederhold of Lexington, Marlin and Ruth Wiederhold of Dime Box, Robert and Alice Wiederhold of Caldwell and J.C. and Dorothy Wiederhold of Dime Box; three sisters, Alene Cottrell and Joyce and Fred Zwernemann all of Dime Box and Lavern and Leroy Zwernemann of Pflugerville; sister-in-law, Mildred Wiederhold of Dime Box; numerous nieces and nephews
