Clovis E. Bardwell Jr., 85, passed away Fri. Oct. 8, 2010 at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held Sat. Oct. 9, 2010 from 5-8pm. and Sun. Oct. 10, 2010 from 11am.-1pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will be 1:30pm. Sun. Oct. 10, 2010 at Andrew Chapel Cemetery in Brandon with Rev. Booth Poole officiating the services. Pallbearers are Michael Polk, Brian Polk, Jason Bardwell, John Jones, Allen Miller and Nathan Miller.

Mr. Bardwell was a native and lifelong resident of Rankin County, where he was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Brandon. He retired, as an electrician from IBEW Local #480, was a WWII Navy Veteran, a Mason and a Shriner.

Mr. Bardwell is survived by his four daughters, Rande Polk of Florence, Joy Miller (Bob) of St. James City, FL, Judy Carlisle (Gray) of Starkville, and Jerri Simmons (Richard) of Hattiesburg; one son, Jimmy Bardwell (Chery) of Brandon; two sisters, Christine Sprowles of Irving, TX and Martha Chaplain of New Orleans, LA; one brother, S.W. (Dick) Bardwell of Brandon; eight grandchildren, Michael and Brian Polk, Nathan and Hollie Miller, Darbi Grannon, Brooke Jones, Jason Bardwell and Lief Carlisle and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Rae Bardwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church.
