Mrs. Mary William aged 82, passed away at the family home in the Liberty Community late Thursday and was buried in the Santa Anna Cemetery Friday morning. The Santa Anna Furniture Undertaking Co., in charge of arrangements and A. Oder conducted the service. Mrs. Williams was the mother of 12 children, 9 living, one son being the section foreman at this place.

Mrs. Mary Williams died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irene Holder, of Santa Anna, Texas, Aug. 7, and was laid to rest August 8 at that place by the side of her husband, D. L. Williams, who died Sept. 1, 1927. Mrs. Williams had been very feeble for several years , and last April she sustained a fall , resulting in a broken hip from which she never recovered.
Mrs. Williams was born in 1848, in Montgomery, Alabama, and in 1866 was married to D. L. Williams, and to this union were born twelve children, nine of whom are living, namely, J. L. Williams, Thorndale; T. F. Williams, Nashville, Ark.; W. H. Williams, Snyder; S. P. Williams, Cline; B. D. Williams, Rockdale; J. F. Williams, Santa Anna; Mrs. Lizzie Scott, Lometa; Mrs. H. A. Todd, Rockdale; Mrs. Irene Holder, Santa Anna. She also leaves several grandchildren and a great number of great grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister, Tom Amason, address unknown [Tom actually died in 1929], Frank Amason of San Gabriel, Mrs. Francis Caffey of Salty. She leaves a great number of friends in and around Rockdale who will be grieved to hear of her death.
