Son of Duke Albert and Ruby (Ford) Cooper.
He graduated Leola High School in 1946. He worked thirty years for Natural Gas Pipeline. He was a fifty year member of Bethlehem Lodge #338, a 32nd degree Mason and was awarded the Pillars of Soloman Award by the Grand Lodge of Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years , Ethel Tewanee Cooper; daughter, Sara Marie Haley of Greenbrier; sons Burl Edward Cooper and wife Tammy of Zeffner, Florida; Timothy Elliott Cooper of North Little Rock; sister Reba Shepard of Malvern; one grandson; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 11 in the Regency Chapel with Rev Dale Diffee officiating. He will have full Masonic Rites with his Masonic brothers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Lono Cemetery.
