Marjorie J Wood, 70, of 1104 3rd St. Juniata, died at 7:45 a.m. Today, March 13, 1990, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 6, 1919, in Tyrone, the daughter of Frank E. and Margaret Magill, and April 6, 1940, married George T. Wood, who died in May 1984.

Surviving are three children: George E., William C. and Amy S. of Altoona; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are eight brothers and sisters: JoAnn Decker, Grace Gunsallus, Jean Iddings and Gloria of Tyrone, Betty Meek of Sandy Ridge, Frank E. of Sinking Valley, Albert of Birmingham, Ala., and Edwin of Tipton.
Mrs. Wood was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.


~WOOD~ Services for Marjorie J. Wood of 1104 3rd St., Juniata, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by the Rev. J. Paul Taylor. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 am until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
